For centuries people are using the honey and other bee’s products for different reasons. Some of them are cosmetic only but most of the reasons are related to different health benefits that the honey can bring to the table.

With everything happening right now with COVID-19, the social distancing and possibility of another lockdown the cases of anxiety are raising. According to world health organization(WHO) the number of cases is coming up to 25% of the population in Europe each year and that is without the issue caused by the strict lockdown policies. Sadly, most of the health experts are seeing problems with the monitoring of mental health cases and this is causing even more problems across all of Europe.

Does that mean that honey can help to accommodate with this stressful environment? All of our research shows that if you spice your tea with honey it can help to cope with anxiety. There is a lot of mentioning of the therapeutic properties of the honey in the Indian medical science Ayurveda that shows everyone how to use honey for various problems ranging from sore throat to chronic arthritis. The benefits of honey however do not end here.

Following different sources there are some recipes about the consumption of honey so it can be most effective for coping with anxiety such as:

Honey before going to sleep.

Before going to sleep, have a spoon of honey with a pinch of salt to it. This will help with soothing your mind and have a good night sleep. Repeat this on a daily basis for a better sleep, mood and healthier life.

Honey with cinnamon.

Cinnamon is one of these small things in your life that can greatly benefit you. It is loaded with manganese which is an important element in the nerve and connecting tissues, and honey as it’s known for calming nerves in this particular combination helps even more. The recipe:

  • Take half a tablespoon of cinnamon powder and mix it with one tablespoon of honey
  • Add the mixture to a glass of moderately warm milk
  • Drink every night before sleeping

Honey and Almonds.

  • Crush 5 to 10 almonds depending on your taste
  • Mix one tablespoon of honey with the finely crushed almonds
  • Take a spoon of the mixture in the morning and another spoon before you go to bed in the evening

Honey and Apple

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, right? How about if you add some honey to the mixture? Follow the recipe below:

  • Cut one apple into small pieces and place them in a blender
  • Before you start blending you will have to do 2 more steps, add a tablespoon of honey
  • Then take a warm cup of milk and add the apple and honey mixture
  • Now start blending
  • Take a spoonful of the mixture twice a day for a month
